Decorworx / Rainbow Signs

When Decorworx, a nationally recognized design firm, decided to relocate their main headquarters from Salt Lake City to Cedar City, the old bus depot seemed like an intriguing candidate to fill that role. Originally the jumping-off point for buses taking tourists to the area's National Parks in the 1930s, the depot was not without challenges. Floors sloped the entire length of the building to allow for drainage as busses were washed. The depth of the trusses did not allow for a second floor, a critical component of the program.

Trusses were modified to allow for upper level offices, sloped floors embraced, and the all the quirks of the original building just added to the character of the final design.
